Jordan Price 1st Place Encinitas YMCA 13 & Under....

Big Fish....
Jordan’s in California for the whole summer and plans on hitting as many skateparks as possible. This weekend he entered the Mike McGill Classic at Encinitas Skatepark. It was a combo street and mini-ramp contest. Jordan was the only skater from Florida and was feeling the skatepark rivalry. It was an absolutely beautiful day and the park was packed with rippers. Jordan assembled his run and was landing most of his tricks after a few tries. First, it was the street contest and the kids were throwing down. There was a jam session and he made it to the finals. It was most likely Jordan’s flawless run in the finals which included an ally-oop cab that clinched a first place finish. Then it was off to the mini ramp. He threw down head high stalefish airs, forever tailslides, switch airs all over, a kickflip over the hip and a backside 360 over the hip that he couldn't’ even believe he landed. You could see the fun he was having through the entire run. It was another flawless run and launched him into first place again. Overall, it was an exciting day. The park kids warmed up and everyone was friends in the end. The contest was truly about skateboarding and represented fun for everyone including the parents. Thanks to the wonderful staff at Encinitas and Mike McGill for a great contest.
