FACTORY SKATEBOARD CONTEST APRIL 13th, 14th TH

UPDATE:
Sounds like the Vert maybe on the Saturday the 14th around 12pm, nothing confirmed yet, but all you Vert Dogs will be able to pull off both events.....Vert always has to work harder.......This will give you time to make the Kona Vert contest on Sunday

KONA WILL BE ATTACHING THE VERT CONTEST TO THE SPRING FLING EVENT.
SATURDAY APRIL 14TH WILL BE THE ALL AGES STREET CONTEST
SUNDAY APRIL 15TH WILL BE ALL AGES VERT CONTEST AND SPONSORED STREET.
WE ARE INVITING ALL OUT OF TOWN SKATERS TO CAMP OUT SATURDAY NIGHT AT KONA.

The contest is not on their website yet,should be soon. This is what I know. Woodward and Playstation are doing street contest's at all woodward park location,s across the country.There are 5 park,s. There will also be contest's for Vert at the only two park that have Vert ramps. That would be Philly and Dallas. I know the contest for Philly will be held on Sat. March 17th.I,m not sure what time the contest starts I will keep you posted on that or any other info I get. The winner,s will win free weeks at woodward camp. Grind For Life / For The Love Of Skateboarding

This weekend was all about the pure love of skateboarding, being with
friends and making new ones. Grind for Life in Jupiter was the first stop for the Timeline Team, Dalton Dern taking his skills to the street course, placing 1st.. Wyatt Woodard in 16 & up placing 3rd. Marlee Miller 1st and Nicole Cabrera 3rd place. Josue Sanchez with his smooth style, is a new comer on the scene missing the top 5 in Sponsored by .5 points. Dane Kovarik and Alex Pellegrino had some trouble putting down their runs. Everyone went home or to their hotels, get some rest and get ready for some more cold weather at Graffiti Skatepark For the Love of Skateboarding Contest…..Dan Hatcher and his Team are the most Traveled in the State of Florida, his program is a class act. They support every contest and deserve the same support in return. I have personally seen his Team from Graffiti and Cocoa Beach save a contest with the amount of skaters he brings to an event. They show up, treat everyone with respect, place in every division and bring home the awards and product….The Street Course has a new setup and look. This contest was all about progression with a Jam Format, it was like being at a demo, very exciting and better than most pro demos I have been to. Alex Pellegrino placing 5th and new Timeline AM rider Dane Kovarik 4th, Josue Sanchez and Wyatt Woodward killing it… All the skaters in the Sponsored Division never holding back and pushing each other to go bigger. A great vibe, good kids doing positive things through skateboarding…..Nicole Cabrera winning the Girls Division, Dalton Dern Winning the 14 to 17 Division….Thanks for everyone showing up…..

TIMELINE TAKES A STANCE ON THE BLANK DECK MARKET

Sometimes we all need a kick in the butt or a slap in the face when we are consciously being competent or unconsciously incompetent. The sale of blank boards by shops is wrong, it does nothing for the industry, history or progression of this sacred art form we call skateboarding. The shops say the consumer wants them, the consumer also wants demos and free product. "I know lets have a blank demo" sounds stupid to me .....Pretty soon you will be able to get blank decks at Home Depot, imagine what their cost will be, they can buy in huge bulk. I know all about margins and keeping the lights on, what about your sole, your lifestyle and whatever there is left in the meaning of "Core". Thanks for listening....

Oh yea, you missed it if you were not there. Concrete is here and skateboarding is alive and well. As an industry and a skateboarder we must respect and cover all aspects of skateboarding, no longer can the media just cover stairs and rails. Transition is the roots of it all and the fruit is ripe. Martin Ramos giving back to the sport/art of skateboarding. My favorite is the Master's, they life the lifestyle and live it everyday, they love skateboarding and it shows when they are rolling. Passion is what they have, their stoke is passed on to the next generation. First day was at Oviedo Skatepark in the Flow Course, rain came and canceled the Master,s and Pro's. Martin Ramos loaded up the show and took it to Orlando Skatepark (OSP) for the Bowl event and the Master's and Pro's got to skate. Thanks goes to BC and Martin and all the Volunteers for making this happen, it's only going to get better with the next stop in Cocoa Beach Florida, see you there March 10th and 11th.
